Photography is one of the most beautiful and interesting art form in its visual sense, it can also be provocative and photojournalistic at all levels, it also allows me to appreciate arts in its other forms, such as paintings, abstract art, performances etc etc … The photography style defines each and every photographer, uniquely and individually, sometimes the photographer knows his/her photography style, sometimes, he/she might not know at all. At times, it takes another photographer to help define and update another photographer what’s their style of photography. It’s so special and unique to each individual photographer.

Looking back and reflecting my year 2011 in Photography, there have been great moments/opportunities to be invited and be part of major events photography, armed with media access privileges, with many many big thanks to my networks of PR companies, business partners, friends and alumni groups.

Without a doubt, the access to the above list of events were a huge highlight for me, it’s not just about being very happy to be able to shoot at those events, it’s also a small little testimonial for me on how far my photography, social media networking and writing, my 3 in 1 strengths had brought me today.

As for my skills and knowledge in photography, even though I have a certain level of knowledge and skills in photography, there is still a lot for me to learn, there’s always something new to learn in photography, from skills to styles to techniques. Learning is a life-long journey and I must always keep on learning – this will also and must be applied to my photography!

The year 2011 is also a year that brings me closer to the heartlands, back to the roots and be involved in some form of community activism, with my personal projects on

What defines my photography style? Ironically, maybe I know, maybe I don’t know, maybe it needs another photographer to give me a hint ?

Looking ahead for my photography in 2012, what lies ahead ? Well, I will do my sharing after I go away into my deep thoughts, thinking, “digging” through my heart and soul and brains of course, before writing it down. Stay tuned !

Before I proceed further, I will like to assure all that I am not attending court, this was part of Panasonic Asia awareness program and campaign towards protecting and be friendly/concerned towards the society and environment. A group of bloggers were invited down to the You Are Under Arrest Launch, for an awareness campaign on being environmentally friendly and what we can do to save electricity, water, carbon dioxide emission and do our part to help save our precious Mother Earth. This new campaign by Panasonic Asia showcases that consumers should lead a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle and it can be done!

The You Are Under Arrest campaign is engaging and having more fans to their fans and supporters on the social media channels, do follow Panasonic Asia on Facebook , on Twitter and their Channel e website! Tell your friends, share and spread the noble cause, pay it forward, we all can do our part to save and protect our Mother Earth! You can also play “You Are Under Arrest” too, just follow the link here and “file charges” against your friends for not protecting the environment!

Overall, it was a great time to network with blogging and social media community friends, catch up and concurrently, to learn about how to lead a more environmentally-friendly lifestyle as shown by Panasonic Asia, from saving water to reducing electricity usage. These serve as a good reminder to us here and I will continue to spread the word, to be more environmentally friendly. Today, everyone of us here can take the first step to make a difference to the future of our home, Mother Earth!

A gathering of Singapore blogging community friends, some whom I have known for some time and also getting to know more new friends from the social media networks and blogging community in Singapore. Chatting, networking and catching up with our friendly Canon Singapore folks and PR friends from Ogilvy Public Relatios Worldwide. The delicious food served at Artichoke were really wonderful and delicious, transforming into a lively and heart warming gathering with lots of chatting on camera equipment on my table with Kevin, Callan and Jingwen.

What’s a Mid Autumn Festival gathering without mooncakes ? We were presented with different varieties and styles of the mooncakes, I really like the alcoholic ones, taste really “powerful” and I don’t take durian so I cannot accept durian mooncakes! This gathering was warm and cosy, lots of chatting and eating, many thanks to Canon Singapore and Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide for the awesome Canon Mid Autumn Festival Gathering! A night of eating, networking and learning more about Citi Mobile, thanks to Claudia, Diana and Kris, the lovely folks of 24seven and Citibank Singapore. Held at Charly’s T with nice food and great crowds, good to see familiar faces again, chatting with them and enjoying ourselves. The friendly staff of Citibank were there to introduce and update us on the revamped Citi Mobile application.

The interface is great, nicely revamped and easy to use. Take a look at their main page, different icons available, each providing great and ease of information for you to do your shopping, transaction and even research ! We tried it out during that night and it was pretty cool and user friendly ! Download the Citi Mobile App & have fun using it !

Food was great, with their roasted chicken and meats selection, their sandwich rolls were nice too and it was nice to try them out and take lots of photos ! In between food and chatting, there were games and lucky draw too ! I wasn’t any of the winners and would have to wait for my luck in lucky draws again next time !

Have you heard of the Infocomm Accessibility Centre (IAC) ? What is IAC ? What do they do ?

When I was invited by 24seven to visit the IAC, it got me excited to be back involved again and something very meaningful too! Before joining them on the IAC Tour on 2nd June 2010, I went to their webpage to understand more about what they do. Indeed, it was an eye-opener for me and something that I could relate a bit towards, being physically disabled for about 2 months due to injures.

Met Diana, Claudia, Kris and a few other bloggers, we met at 2 Peng Nguan Street, SPD Ability Centre, whereby we were brought to a tour of the IAC by Royson Poh, Assistant Director-Vocational Training Division. Upon entering the lecture and training rooms/facilities, the first impression was – it’s just like any other IT training facility centre EXCEPT the spaces and computers are designed and catered for people with different types of disabilities. Not only were there IT computers only, there were training rooms for music and video creation too !

Moving up to the Assistive Technology Loan Library, we were given an experiential and enriching experience and greater understanding on how IT equipment can be transformed to suit people of different disabilities and how simple soft toys can be a great joy for disabled people. We all took the opportunity to test some of the equipment out there and it was very enlightening for us, that simple things we abled people take for granted doing, the disabled people had more difficulties and challenges doing them and without the IT equipment and technology designed for them, they would struggle a lot.
